Jeffrey Lennon

I work across culture and place, bringing together more than fifteen years of experience in urban regeneration with an independent practice in creative and cultural production.

My regeneration work is pragmatic, collaborative and delivery-focused. I have developed and managed programmes across high streets, town centres, housing estates, neighbourhoods, parks, public realm and community spaces — bringing together residents, designers, local authorities, developers, schools and specialist teams to move projects from ideas and engagement through to investment, commissioning and delivery.

Alongside this, I develop and produce cultural and artistic projects that explore identity, music, movement, heritage, politics and our relationship with place. My perspective is both local and international: from projects rooted in London's streets and neighbourhoods to collaborations and creative interventions connecting cities and communities in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean.

These two strands continually inform one another. The curiosity, experimentation and cultural instincts I bring to artistic projects influence how I think about regeneration; the experience of making complex projects happen in real places gives my cultural work a practical understanding of people, institutions and cities.

For me, culture and place are not separate interests. They are connected ways of understanding — and influencing — how people experience the world around them.
