Harlesden Heritage Action Zone

A heritage-led high street regeneration programme focused on restoring the architectural character of Harlesden High Street while supporting its continuing role as a diverse commercial, community and cultural centre. Backed by Historic England and Brent Council, the programme used investment in historic buildings and public assets to help stimulate wider regeneration across the Conservation Area.

I helped lead the programme through partnership development, design-team procurement, planning and stakeholder engagement, working with Historic England, businesses, community organisations and council services. Interventions included the restoration of historic shopfronts and façades, bringing the long-vacant former HSBC building back into productive use, improvements to the Brent Cultural Centre and the restoration of the Harlesden Jubilee Clock.
